Creating goals for ourselves is something we all crave, particularly when the hurdles seem too high. I know over my adult life I’ve thought of creating numerous goals but have always let myself down when it came to having the confidence and the RIGHT person in my corner to support and encourage me. It was only when I reached my early 40’s that I had the courage to reach out and ask for that support from two different life coaches over a couple of years.
When you throw an intellectual disability into the mix that creates an extra layer of concentration right there! All too often when we want to create change in our lives, achieving a goal takes confidence, practice and the right support to make it happen. I’ve heard stories of clients wanting to achieve some amazing goals but felt let down not having the right people around them. Some of these goals have included:
After all, we’re all worthy humans who deserve the joy of living with freedom, courage and strength to walk alongside all of humanity. But sadly, I hear too many stories whereby they’ve asked for assistance from their inner circle including support workers and the experience and qualifications just isn’t there to make these changes happen. This is where I step in! Having supported NDIS clients for more than six years, I have seen the joy on their face and felt the fulfilment in their heart, when they’ve reached the goal they set out to achieve.
Do you have a female client who has felt like they’re walking in quicksand, and want to feel like they’re floating on air? I may just be the right person for them to create the goals that bring them joy! Happy to have a discussion with you around how I can support or your clients.
If you’re curious about how I can make a difference in your client or family members life, please don’t hesitate to reach out or send me an email today!
Until next time, take care.
